He is a handsome, charismatic and charming man. Many people like him and love his food because Maurice knows how to buy, keep and prepare quality meats and vegetables. He said to me that he realized that his restaurant named “Le Cap Breton” is not located in the heart of the tourist section yet. It is located on Soi Chayapon, which is between Soi Buakoaw and third road. See the map in the ad in this paper. He is trying to appeal to the local people and residence by keeping the prices of these great meals very low. Trust me. For the quality, you get incredibly delicious French cooking at it’s best. This quality and price draws a crowd of regular patrons of the culinary art of fine dining. Read this: 20 to 60 baht salads: green, tomato, tuna, chicken, bacon, duck fillet and big chef. Filets: 120 to 170 baht. Filet with blue cheese, de vin, pepper sauce, maitre de hotel or ala bretanne. Chicken, pork, beef, skewer with cream sauce. Escarope normande, chicken legs with olive oil. Stuffed clams, mussels, big prawns, squid with cream sauce, fish fillet a la sauce du chef, eggs with bacon, onions or mushroom or Spanish omelet. Snail a la bretonne, country pate, chicken liver pate. Filet of duck plus a verity of potatoes prepared in a verity of ways. The “Le Cap Breton” French Restaurant on Soi Chayapoon is open at 11.00am till late everyday except Sundays when they are open at 6pm. I know reading this makes you hungry. If you have not had the extreme culinary pleasure of trying French cooking, this is your chance and it won’t cost you a lot of money.
