I got the fever

Typhoid, Malaria and Dengue Fevers are in Thailand and they can be yours if you try hard to contact them.
Typhoid Fever is an acute infectious disease that is characterized by high fever, spots, and abdominal pain. It is caused by a bacillus ingested with food or water. Anyone with these symptoms is dangerously infected and should seek immediate medical help.
Malaria is a parasite spread by mosquitoes. Many of the popular jungle trekking areas of Thailand, and a number or the rural islands present high risk to the travelers. Bangkok and most popular tourist centers and resorts in Thailand are considered relatively risk free.
The best prevention is simply using a good mosquito repellent, avoid perfumes and scented after-shaves, and wear light colored long-sleeved shirts, long pants and shoes. At night, sleep with air conditioning or under a ceiling fan because mosquitoes don’t like them. Symptoms include fever, chills, sweating, severe headache and abdominal pains. Untreated malaria can be fatal. Treatment is very effective and recovery is rapid.
Dengue Fever is a virus that is spread by the mosquitoes. Symptoms include high fever, headache, joint and muscle pains. There is no vaccine and the only prevention is mosquito repellent. Dengue fever is not uncommon and almost never fatal to young people in good health. Older people or those with chronic debilities hospitalization is advisable.
