It was party time in little ol’ Pattaya Ya! Ya! Ya! The Pattaya Music Festival was a huge success last week. The streets were packed. People traveled from all over the world to see and hear the great music. It was so much fun to see and be seen. The music was hot and the dancing was hotter. There were so many gorgeous people on stage and in the crowd.
This music festival is such a great success each year because there are three stages around town. So, if you like hot international jazz, you can find it. If you like Rock & Pop and Thai country music, you can find it and if you like Hip Hop/Indy you will be able to find it in little ol’ Pattaya for free. I like free.
Gad! It’s hot! But, thank goodness, Songkran is about ready to explode on Pattaya.
It will unofficially start on Thursday afternoon and evening, April 8th on the Beach Road in Pattaya on Soi 7 and 8 and maybe the other open-air beer bars along the Beach Road.
The girls and guys at the beer bars get to “playing” and the next thing you know, every”body” gets wet. I love a wet T-shirt on a brown skin beautiful Thai girl. It’s the beginning of the biggest and longest wet T-shirt contest in world. There are no prices and everybody wins. There are about 20,000 girls in Pattaya and Jomtien. It is non-stop water fights. It is non-stop laughter.
There is nothing funnier than seeing a falong at the open-air beer bar have a bucket of water poured over his head. And there is nothing like seeing a couple or three beautiful brown skin Thai beauties, in sleeveless and low cut T-shirts and mini skirts, pour water over each other and laughing and laughing and laughing some more. This will go on everyday and night until Saturday night April 17th.
So, plan on getting soaked from head to toe and dusted with powder. You can become a kid again. Buy a squirt gun or two. Wear old clothes and shoes and go out and have fun.
At first, you might be a little shy but after a week of laughing and seeing the girls and guys soaked to the skin; you will be let down or sad that it has to end. Life after a week of having fun and laughing so hard all day and night is sort of a “let-down.” Well, I guess we have to be adults again.
