Pattaya Pier Opens
Mayor Pairat has asked that all tour boats move to the new Bali Hai pier by March 26th, but will allow jet skis and banana boats to operate off Pattaya beaches. A few adjustments are being made by the tour boat operators and the city. The pier will handle about 1,000 boats per day. The pier is over half a kilometer long, so it can accommodate boats and the crowds. The pier is a great place to go fishing because it extends out into the clear deep water. There is Thai style building that includes a medical clinic for emergencies. There is parking for tour buses and private cars and trucks with boat trailers. There is a boat ramp and a boat storage area. There is a small picnic park with green grass and new shade trees. The food and trinket vendors are sure to follow. It is a great place to walk and see the city from a distance, especially at night. There is more construction to come. Live long and prosper
